Snow Day - Family Devotions
Read Job 37:6-7
6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. 7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
God has sent the snow so we will stop and see how great His work is!

Read Isaiah 1:18
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The snow is a picture of how God has forgiven us of our sin. It shows how his grace can cover anything.
Discuss: How has God shown us grace? (here's some hints)
Forgives us when we're wrong
Never leaves us even when we are wrong.
Helps us forgive each other.
Because we have been given grace, we should also give grace.
Discuss: How can we show God's grace to our neighbors today? (Here's some ideas!)
Take them Hot Chocolate!
Help them Shovel!
Invite them to build a snowman, snow fort, or snow ball battle!
Invite them over to play board games
Ask if we can pray for them
Tell them about Jesus
Lead your family in prayer (Here's a simple example, you can read it if you are uncomfortable praying. God loves it when his children try new things!)
"Dear God, thank you for this amazing snow. Thank you for dieing on the cross for all of us. Help us to love each other, and show grace to our neighbors today. Help us to have a lot of fun, and make great memories together as a family. And please let us help broken people find hope in Jesus name, Amen!"
Finally you can still give your offering online! If you've never set it up now is a perfect time to do it. It only takes a minute. If you have kids this is a great time to show them that giving is part of being a Christian.
